Paani Foundation believes that the solution to our water crisis lies in decentralised watershed management and rainwater harvesting. We aim to motivate, train and empower people for this purpose.
Our immediate mission is to make Maharashtra drought-free and we believe this can only be achieved when students, farmers, working professionals, industrialists…. in a word, millions of people from different walks of life join this movement. We invite you to be a part of this journey.
You will be heartened to know that large numbers of people from all over the world have already written to us to volunteer for Paani Foundation’s work. Some of them even visited the villages on their own and offered shramdan (voluntary labour) during the pilot edition of the Satyamev Jayate Water Cup last year. The second edition of the Satyamev Jayate Water Cup will be held from 8th April to 22nd May in the below thirty talukas:
Ambajogai, Kej and Dharur in Beed district, Bhoom, Paranda and Kalamb in Osmanabad district, Ausa and Nilanga in Latur district, Phulambri and Khultabad in Aurangabad district, Koregaon, Man and Khatav in Satara district, Khanapur, Atpadi and Jath in Sangli district, Purandar and Indapur in Pune district, Sangola and Uttar Solapur in Solapur district, Barshitakli, Patur and Akot in Akola district, Ralegaon, Kalamb and Umarkhed in Yavatmal district, Warud and Dharni in Amravati district, Karanja in Washim district and Arvi in Wardha district.
