Why this Competition?
The dream of farmer prosperity and a drought-free Maharashtra cannot be achieved by water conservation alone. Smart water management, especially in agriculture, is critical. However, transitioning from traditional farming methods isn’t easy for farmers. The key to this transformation lies in making water-smart agriculture not just sustainable, but remunerative. The Farmer Cup creates an ecosystem for farmers to do just this.
Equipped with multiple trainings, a digital farming school which connects farmers to scientists, and a robust network to navigate challenges, farmers find strength in knowledge and collectivisation. They use their collective strength to slash cultivation costs, improve their productivity, and command better prices for their high-quality produce.
